WHAT IS THE OPTI LABORATORIES BROW GROWTH TREATMENT?

Opti Laboratories Brow Growth Treatment

The Opti Laboratories Brow Growth Treatment contains a 0.3 mg/ml (0.03%) solution of bimatoprost, a prostaglandin analogue, the exact same as Latisse.

The solution was originally used as an eye drop to treat Glaucoma, a condition affecting the pressure within the eyeball. It was used successfully by millions of patients over a prolonged period. A well documented side effect of the treatment was eyelash growth. The active ingredient, bimatoprost, has since been found to stimulate the hair growth cycle, resulting in hair that is longer, thicker and darker. It is equally effective when used on the brows.

In 2008, the American FDA gave approval for the cosmetic use of bimatoprost. The FDA drew on years of data to compile a safety profile of the treatment. They found that there were significantly fewer side effects when applied to the skin rather than to the eyeball itself. This may be due to the reduced dose, as it’s a smaller area, and because the skin is less sensitive than the eye itself.

The results were also documented; it was found that the average trial participant grew hairs that were 25% longer, 106% thicker and 18% darker.

The treatment is effective on the lashes and brows, where it can transform the think vellus hairs of your face into thick hairs like those of your eyebrow.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE TO WORK?

The treatment works with your natural growth cycle. The active ingredient, bimatoprost, extends the anagen phase of the cycle, meaning each individual hair grows for longer. This results in hairs which are thicker and able to support greater length.

A full hair growth cycle is between 12 and 16 weeks. You’ll begin to see results after as little as 4 weeks, with full results towards the end of the cycle.

The treatment needs to be used daily, on an ongoing basis. If you decide to stop using the treatment, your brows will gradually revert to their original state. We recommend incorporating the treatment into your daily routine, ideally applying after removing any make-up and before you go to bed. Consistency always gives the best results.
